Ankle Binder is an effective orthopaedic support device designed to provide compression, support, and partial immobilisation of the ankle joint following injury, sprain, or surgical intervention. It helps control pain, oedema (swelling), and inflammation during the recovery phase — enabling patients to remain mobile while protecting the injured ankle.
Key Features:
- Two-component design — compression sleeve + elasticised strap for combined support and compression
- 3D knitted compression sleeve — conforms precisely to the complex anatomy of the ankle for a comfortable, anatomical fit
- Elasticised strap — provides additional stabilisation and adjustable compression
- Controls oedema and inflammation — graduated compression reduces post-injury swelling
- Partial immobilisation — limits excessive movement while allowing functional mobility
- Lightweight and discreet — can be worn inside footwear
Indications:
- Acute ankle sprains (Grade I and II)
- Post-injury ankle support during rehabilitation
- Ankle oedema and inflammation management
- Chronic ankle instability requiring daily support
- Post-operative ankle support following minor surgical procedures
- Sports and activity-related ankle protection
How to Use:
- Slide the compression sleeve over the foot and position it over the ankle joint
- Ensure the sleeve sits snugly and conforms to the ankle anatomy without excessive tightness
- Apply the elasticised strap over the sleeve for additional compression and stabilisation
- Adjust strap tension for comfort — should be firm but not restrict circulation
- Wear during activity and remove during rest unless otherwise directed by your healthcare provider
- Remove immediately if numbness, tingling, or increased pain occurs
